Safe Removal of Nails

Tools You’ll Need:

  • Bowl of warm water (optional: add a little soap or oil)
  • Cuticle stick
  • Nail buffer or file
  • Acetone or nail polish remover (only if needed)
  • Alcohol wipes

Step 1: Soak First

  • Soak your hands in warm, soapy water for 10–15 minutes. (Tip: Add a few drops of cuticle oil for extra softness. It softens the adhesive, making removal much easier and gentler.)

Step 2: Gently Lift the Nail

  • Use a cuticle stick to gently slide under the edge of the press-on nail.
  • Work slowly from side to side — do NOT rip or force it off.
  • If you feel resistance, soak longer.

Step 3: Remove Adhesive Leftovers

  • After nails are off, buff away any leftover glue or adhesive tabs using a nail buffer.
  • Wipe your natural nails clean with an alcohol wipe.
